Fauxaics - Digital Mosaics

Hand drawn illustrations come to life as faux mosaics using methods taught by Molly Suber Thorpe in her Skillshare mosaics class. I first saw these digital mosaics come to life and wanted to take a test at them myself. Each illustration is hand drawn as a flat sketch first and then brought to life using shading and clippings masks to make a tiled effect. Each design was made in procreate and then brought into photoshop to add in feet to simulate the feeling of a photograph of a mosaic tile being taken from the top view.
